Every student enrolled in the Cognitive Science program at Osnabrück University automatically becomes part of the vibrant and active student body, known affectionately as the “Coxis“. We’re a dedicated group of students passionate about representing your interests, fostering a strong community, and making your time studying CogSci the best it can be.

Your Voice at the Institute & University:

The student body council acts as your voice, advocating for your interests at both the Institute and University level. We work closely with the faculty and administration to ensure your academic experience is top-notch. We’re also active in university-wide discussions, contributing to shaping the overall student experience at Osnabrück.

More than just academics:

While academics are important, the CogSci student body is about so much more than just lectures and exams. We believe in creating a strong community where you can connect with fellow students, make lifelong friends, and have a lot of fun along the way. We organize a variety of events throughout the year, including:

• Lohra: Our legendary freshie weekend, held at a beautiful castle in Thuringia, is the perfect opportunity to get to know your fellow classmates in a relaxed and fun environment. Think workshops, music, great food, and unforgettable memories!
• Parties & Social Gatherings: From our epic CogSci Party to themed events and casual get-togethers, we provide plenty of opportunities to socialize, let loose, and celebrate life as a Coxi.
• Schnupperstudium: We help organize events that give prospective students a taste of the CogSci program at Osnabrück.
• Coxi Library: We maintain a library of study materials and resources that can help you succeed in your studies.
• T-shirt Design & Stickers: Show your Coxi pride with our awesome t-shirts and stickers, designed by your fellow students.
